The Nokia 5610 Express Music Reviews
When you are looking for a cell phone that can do everything a great new one is the Nokia 5610 Express Music. This is a music player that has several other features that make it a must have for any occasion. Although most people will see it looks like the 5600 it has a sportier look and lots more music features. The front of the phone has a toggle feature that sometimes is a bit stiff but you can move through your playlists easily.
A better feature is the music slider bar that allows you to open the music portion right away and then lets you select the play list easier than with the toggle bar. You can also use the slider bar to move between the radio and your music without having to go through the main menu. This makes it a very convenient device.
It only has one speaker to play the music out of but the sound that comes from it is surprisingly clear. When you turn the phone over it gives you a digital camera with a pretty nice flash.
We found that although there was a button to release the battery cover it seemed a bit flimsy so it is not certain that it will hold up after many uses. Although the Nokia 5610 has new features it is similar to the 5310 which has more user friendly features and costs less.
The Nokia 5610 does fall into the middle of the music phones but it does hold its own for the features. Some of the features are a 3.2 megapixel camera that has a bright flash and the ability to autofocus. You get a FM Radio that also has RDS and you can play videos as well with a 3G connection.
When you are listening to music it is a challenge with the headphones because you cannot adjust the sound and you can only skip to the next track. This does not make it a convenient phone nor one that is particularly user friendly.
It is a slider phone though and it has brilliant colors so you can see the main menu icons easily. The buttons for the phone are located inside the slider which makes it convenient. One drawback of the phone is that it looks like metal all around but it is actually plastic. The phone comes in black, purple or blue.
Another challenge is that although there is a button that allows you to take off the back, it is difficult to get the back off. In fact, it seemed that you had to press so hard that it might break. You will have to take the back off in order to change the battery.
The phone aspect of the phone works very well. No matter what type of setting it was in the phone performed well and callers could be heard easily. Although the speaker is on the back of the phone, using the speaker phone was very clear and loud. The cost is about $100.
