Sony Alpha A200 DSLR Review

I have always been a Canon EOS guy. Back in 1999, I bought my first Canon Rebel 2000. A fantastic camera with stunning colors. Then in 2006 I switched from SLR to DSLR and bought the Canon 400D. Another gem of a camera.
But today I would like to review Sony Alpha A200 DSLR camera priced at around the £300 mark. The fist thing I noticed about the Sony Alpha A200 DSLR is that it is very similar to its predecessor, the Alpha100 except for a few upgrades.
The Sony Alpha A200 DSLR handles very well with a nice and sturdy grip with easy access to the main controls. With the standard lens kit attached, the Sony Alpha A200 DSLR is a little noisy and not as fast as some of the other entry level DSLRs.
With a 10.2Mp CCD sensor, the Sony Alpha A200 DSLR offers 3fps continuous shooting. The Dynamic Range+ Optimizer used for the JPGs gives great highlight and shadow details in poor light conditions. I have always found that in auto mode, entry level DSLRs struggle in poor light. The Sony Alpha A200 DSLR does no better.
An improved 9-point Auto Focus and a larger LCD screen (2.7″ LCD) are a few of the notable upgrades from the Alpha100. Also upgraded is the ISO sensitivity (increased to 3200).
