New BlackBerry Bold Review

The new BlackBerry Bold comes with email, phone, IM and the Internet. With an integrated organizer, it can help you stay on top of your day. With camera and video recording, you can capture and share the moment with just a few clicks. It is quite a stiff competitor to the iPhone 3G.

With a super fast 624-MHz processor and connection to the HSDPA network, the BlackBerry Bold is fast, multi-tasks better and you can browse the net faster. The integrated media sync lets you sync your desktop iTunes songs to your smartphone and you can view images and video with stunning clarity.

True to its name, the BlackBerry Bold’s build is solid with an alluminuim frame but feels a little hefty. It is step up from the previous models but is still not pocket friendly.

With built-in GPS capabilities, and BlackBerry® Maps, you get turn-by-turn directions, so you can pinpoint where you are right now and where you need to be. You can also download Google maps if you prefer.

The BlackBerry Bold hooks onto the super fast 3.6kbps HSDPA network and locks into WIFI if you happen to hit any hotspots. With a stunning semi-VGA screen, the keyboard has also been improved for improved typing ease. However the track ball for navigation is not the easiest to use, especially when you are surging the net.

The camera has been a let down with a weak LED flash and no auto focus. I would have preferred to have a better camera on the BlackBerry Bold because these days it is all about blogging from your phones (at least the smart ones like the iPhone) and taking good pictures to include them in your posts is a must.

Emailing is quite easy to use too with a nice GUI. But I still prefer the email system of the iPhone. I use the iPhone every day for emailing and it works like a charm.
