Lenova ThinkPad W700 - Graphic Designer’s Dream

A big hurdle most freelance graphic designers and others in the design professionals faced with taking their work on the move was the lack of proper drawing equipment that they could lug around with their laptop. Finally, Lenova has introduced the ThinkPad W700 - a notebook with a built in Wacom palm-rest digitizer and a pen!

With a 120cm x 80cm Wacom® palm-rest digitizer and pen, graphic designers can now create digital content and work with CAD/CAM application with ease. The digitizer can be configured to map to the entire screen or a user-defined area, and is compatible with a wide range of applications, from Windows® Paint to Adobe® Photoshop®.

The Lenova ThinkPad W700, features NVIDIA® Quadro FX® MXM based graphics solution for superb performance and image processing. The massive 17″ screen is stunning features high-resolution, premium WSXGA+ or WUXGA panels to provide an improved viewing experience. The screen also features X-Rite® PANTONE® color calibration for greater image accuracy, more precise color matching, and a consistently true display.

The Lenova ThinkPad W700 is set to be released some time in September/October this year with a price tag of around $3000. For serious graphic design professionals who actually take their work on the move, this could be a worth while investment.
